Kooj Ntseg Qwj | Hmong "snail" style earrings
A very rare find from Northern Vietnam. Circa early 1900's. This style is sometimes called "qwj" because the overall shape resembles the shape of a slug/snail: the two swirls resembling the iconic tentacle eyes of a slug, and the other one swirl end resembling the tail end of the slug.
This set of earrings has extremely fine and intricate engravings and etchings that are very hard to find—one the finest I have seen in any earring.
